In Spring 2010, UW faculty, staff, and graduate students collaborated with 911 Seattle Media Arts Center in designing and piloting a community media training curriculum to prepare UW students traveling to South Africa to work with South African youth to produce short videos regarding their nation’s hosting of the World Cup.
