Overview

The Forum for Urban Studies in South Asia is a collective of humanities and social science students and faculty who share an interest in understanding the processes of urbanization in colonial and postcolonial contexts. Through its reading group, public lecture series, and online presence, the research cluster will reflect on the existing social theories of urbanization, critiquing historical and ethnographical research from the region, and initiate a dialog with students and scholars of urbanization within the UW community and beyond.
