Software Requests

Software requests should be emailed to linghelp@u. Please allow two weeks of leadtime if you have a firm deadline.

Your request should include the following:

• The name of the package
• Where it can be obtained
• Which systems it should be installed on (the Condor cluster or the Treehouse lab)
• For cluster applications, the path it should be installed under. Take a look at the directory structure under /NLP_TOOLS and see where it would best fit. (This does not apply for Perl, Python, or Ruby modules, which go in their own special locations.)
• Any important license restrictions

Tips/tricks on building the software, if you've attempted it, are always appreciated. Some packages can be quite cantankerous.
