Accompanying Guests Program
At present we do not plan to organize a formal accompanying guest program.  Seattle and the surrounding regions have many tourist attractions and the organizing committee is very willing to advise on options and assist with arrangements either before or during the meeting. Partners are welcome to attend the opening session as well as the Icebreaker and Buffet Dinner (fees are outlined on the registration form).

Travel to Seattle

All but local participants should plan to fly to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SeaTac), located about 20 miles south of the University of Washington.  Both hotels offer free parking for those who wish to rent cars but may also be reached either by taxi or a shared shuttle van.  Please note that rental cars are of no use on the UW campus because the parking available to visitors on campus is expensive and will likely be further away from the meeting venue than the hotels.

Taxi
Approximate cost $50.
All taxi companies in Seattle charge the same rate based on a drop charge plus mileage. Taxi assistance is available at the Ground Transportation Center located on the third floor of the airport parking garage.

Shuttle Express
Approximate cost $21 per passenger.
This shared door-to-door van service does not require an advance reservation for shuttles from the airport, but you must make a reservation for returning to the airport.  You may arrange for transportation on Shuttle Express by going to the Ground Transportation Center located on the third floor of the airport parking garage (SeaTac map).  Additional information can be found on the Shuttle Express website (http://shuttleexpress.com/seatac-airport/)
