W HotelOur meeting venue is the W Seattle Hotel. This upscale hotel offers modern meeting facilities and comfortable guest rooms. Set in the heart of Seattle, it is just steps from an excellent international restaurant community, a vibrant shopping district and is 20 minutes from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The Pike Place Market, historic Pioneer Square, the Seattle waterfront, Seattle Art Museum and the award-winning Seattle Public Library are all located within easy walking distance of the W Hotel. Sessions and lunches will take place in the hotel.

Secure on-line hotel reservations

Guest rooms have been reserved for meeting participants.The discounted room rate is $239 single or double (plus taxes). You can make your reservations on-line by clicking on any of the hotel links on this page or by calling (206) 264-6000. Make sure to let the hotel representative know that you are with the MASSIN or WSANS group in order to receive the discounted room rate. Participants are encouraged to make their hotel reservations early. Seattle is an extremely popular tourist destination during the summer months and hotels can sell out. The reservation deadline for our discounted rate is June 1, 2011 or whenever our block of rooms sells out.

Driving and Parking

A car is not not necessary for meeting participants who will be staying in the W Hotel Seattle in downtown Seattle. Services and attractions are all nearby and downtown parking is expensive. However, if your plans require a car, please link to these directions on the hotel web site.

NEW: The W Hotel offers valet parking only. The hotel parking is very expensive. You may wish to consider a nearby alternate garage if you find you must drive. The Olympic Parking Garage is on the same block as the W Hotel just east at 5th and Seneca.

Airport Shuttles

A variety of shuttle options are available for transportation from the airport. The W Hotel is located only 14 miles from SeaTac Airport, the Airporter Shuttle will deliver you to the door of our Downtown Seattle hotel in just 25 minutes.

Link Light Rail from SeaTac/Airport Station
Travelers can now ride the link light rail from the airport to downtown Seattle in just 36 minutes for $2.50

SeaTac / Airport Station is connected to the fourth floor of the Airport Garage. Trains arrive and depart on the platform level of the station. The covered, level walkway to the Airport Terminal is one level down on the mezzanine. The well-lit walkway is separated from the main area of the garage and directional signs point the way to the Main Terminal skybridge. Wheelchair service is available.

Exit the train at the University Street Station. Walk 2 blocks (one block south to Seneca and one block uphill) to the W Hotel. The hotel's main entrance is on 4th Avenue between Seneca and Spring.

Business Visitor Visas (B-1)

Persons traveling from countries outside the U.S. who are not part of the U.S. Visa Waiver Program, are required to obtain a visa in order to travel to the United States. You are encouraged to begin the application process early. The U.S. State Department website indicates that if the purpose for your planned travel is to travel for a scientific, educational, or professional conference on specific dates, then a business visitor visa (B-1) would be the appropriate type of visa for your travel.
