We are pleased to announce that our 2019 Symposium will be held in the heart of downtown Tacoma, Washington. Perched on the shores of Commencement Bay and below the imposing peak of 14,411 foot Mount Rainier, Tacoma’s setting combines natural beauty and a revitalized downtown with shops, restaurants, and theaters. A very walkable city, it is also home to the Washington State History Museum, the Tacoma Art Museum, and the Museum of Glass. Tacoma’s free light rail shuttle service (the Link) runs from one end of town to the other and connects Tacoma’s downtown core with the regional transportation hub. In addition, there’s a direct shuttle bus from Seattle/Tacoma International Airport which is about 20 miles away.
