All Trainees are Required to Prepare an Individual Professional Development Plan (IDP) and review it annually with their Mentor. Guidance and Examples of IDP templates are available here:

All Trainees are Required to Register annually for the Responsible Conduct of Research training sessions organized by the University of Washington Department of Bioethics & Humanities

All Trainees are required to complete Biostatistical Training. Dr. Andrew Zhou is available as a consultant to ensure that all studies are designed and analyzed rigorously.

Trainees working with Large Data Sets (e.g. RNA sequencing projects) are required to consult with Dr. David Beck who is available as a consultant to ensure that all studies are designed and analyzed rigorously.

All Trainees are required to maintain high standards of Rigor and Reproducibility in their research. The training material present here must be completed and reviewed. Appropriate control groups and power analyses must be included in every study.

Trainees are required to permanently Archive All Data sets including raw data and analyses performed for every published figure supported by the UW Conte Center. Each lab group has access to a digital storage server maintained and backed up by Dr. Scott B. Ng-Evans.

Trainees are required to actively participate in the monthly UW Conte Research Progress Meetings and program Seminar Series.
