About This Site

The content for this site was created and compiled by UW TechTransfer Digital Ventures at the University of Washington. The site was originated by Catherine Innes, in her role as Copyright Information Officer. Catherine was promoted and now serves the University of Washington as UW TechTransfer's Director of Policy and Strategic Initiatives. It is intended to serve as a reference guide on copyright issues surrounding the creation and use of copyrighted works in the academic setting. It was created for the University of Washington community and others with an interest in these issues.
