Project Summary: |
This study is evaluating the impact of interventions in the hospital, workplace, childcare, and other community settings on breastfeeding initiation, continuation and exclusivity. Specific aims are:
(1) to compare two matched communities in Washington State. One has local breastfeeding coalition efforts targeting environmental and policy changes in the hospital, worksites, childcare facilities, and throughout the community while the other does not.
(2) To develop and validate a breastfeeding environmental and policy audit tool that can be used to assess support for breastfeeding in health care, workplace, childcare, and other community settings. |
