Quality Health Information on the Web: A Tool KitAbout the Tool Kit
Who is it for?
Discovering Quality Health Information is a toolkit for school staff, parents, students and others looking for current and credible health information on nutrition, drugs, violence and other health topics that influence academic success.
The tool kit began as a collaborative project of the University of Washington Center for Public Health Nutrition and Seattle Public Schools. Based on feedback provided by school staff, we have expanded the kit to include the six threats to academic success and are extending the tool kit as a resource to schools across the state. Our mission is to promote the use of MedlinePlus as a source of quality information.
Development and promotion of this site is funded by the Building Capacity for Quality Health Information in School Communities grant from the National Networks of Library of Medicine, Northwest Region of the National Library of Medicine.
