  The Healthy Youth Survey (HYS) is a collaborative effort of Washington State's Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction, the Department of Health, the Department of Social and Health Service's Division of Alcohol and Substance Abuse, and Community Trade and Economic Development. Students in grades 6, 8, 10 and 12 were surveyed about health risks and protective factors. (2002 and 2004)

  This Web site integrates key health and human services data and statistics. It is designed to complement other government Web sites, such as FirstGov and FedStats. The Gateway provides information from federal, state and local governments.
• Food Consumption Database
  USDA Economic Research Service includes data on food availability, nutrient availability, and daily per capita food servings.
• Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System Web Site (BRFSS)
• Fruit and Vegetable Consumption - 5 A Day Data and Statistics
  BRFSS data on average daily frequency of fruit and vegetable consumption allows comparison of survey responses by state, year, and demographic group.
• Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System (YRBSS)
  The YRBSS monitors health risk behaviors that contribute to the leading causes of death, disability, and social problems among youth and adults in the United States. Samples from students in grades 9-12 are surveyed biennially.
