Year One: 09/2010 - 08/2011 

Baseline assessment of health research projects and perceptions in Seattle Public Schools

• District research records
• UW research projects in the district
• Stakeholder surveys & interviews

Build Team Structures & initiate collaborative processes

• Convene Data Team from UW and SPS
• Convene Health Research Leadership Group:  UW and SPS Project Directors and Project Managers and Leadership and Data Teams
• Convene Partners for Healthy Seattle Schools: Advisors and faculty, graduate students, post docs and fellows from the UW Schools of Social Work, Nursing, Public Health and Medicine and from the UW Center for Studies in Demography and Ecology; teachers, parents, students, Seattle Public Schools administrators and staff; philanthropists and other student health advocates

Year Two: 09/2011 - 08/2012

• Develop an integrated plan for high priority and relevant health research
• Establish special interest research teams
• Pilot test integration of health data into student databases
• Develop a plan for data use

Year Three: 09/2012 - 09/2013

• Conduct at least one pilot study
• Develop collaborative research proposals
