The Dance Minor
After a student has completed 90 university credits (including any one of the courses listed below) he/she may officially declare a minor in Dance.

Requirements to earn the minor
To earn the minor in Dance a student must complete 25 credits of course work in the Dance Program.

A minimum of 10 credits must include two of the following:

 
  • Dance 166: Dance Composition I
  • Dance 234: World Dance and Culture
  • Dance 242: Music for Dance
  • Dance 250: Cross-Cultural Dance Studies
  • Dance 270: Dance Performance Activities
  • Dance 344: Early Dance History
  • Dance 345: Early Dance History
  • Dance 420: Dance Aesthetics
  • Dance 490: Special Studies
  • Dance 493: Anatomy for Dance
  • Dance 494: Teaching Methodologies
The remaining 15 credits may include any of the following courses:
  • Dance 102: Intro to Dance
  • Dance 104,105,106: Modern Technique I
  • Dance 107,108,109: Ballet Technique I
  • Dance 110,111,112: Jazz Technique I
  • Dance 201,202,203: Ballet Technique II
  • Dance 204,205,206: Modern Technique II
  • Dance 210,211,212: Jazz Technique II
  • Dance 231: Folk-Social Dance Forms
  • Dance 230, 232, 233: Alternative Movement Studies
  • Dance 301,302,303: Ballet Technique III
  • Dance 304,305,306: Modern Technique III
  • Dance 401,402,403: Ballet Technique IV
  • Dance 404,405,406: Modern Technique IV
