Kathy is responsible for the general running of the School's academic programs. This includes managing budgets, personnel records, faculty tenure and promotion, policy updates, long-term planning, and coordinating various projects within the unit.

Before coming to the School of Drama in 2006, Kathy worked for 11 years in the Department of Electrical Engineering as a research manager. She moved to Seattle from Laramie, Wyoming to pursue a master's degree in library science from the University of Washington and also has a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Oklahoma.
