Alex is a long-term member of the School of Drama. He graduated from the UW and went to work as the props coordinator for the scene shop. He loves to noodle away on gadgets and is always able to come up with unique solutions to knotty problems. He is a core member of the staff, with a lot of institutional memory. Over the years he has worked on productions around the Puget Sound region, including Northern Exposure.

Alex Danilchik wins Distinguished Staff Award. School of Drama technical director won the Distinguished Staff award for 2009, and was honored at the UW's Recognition Awards on June 11, in Meany Hall. (University Week article, June 4, 2009)
