Professional Actor Training Program, Class of 2016
Zach is a first year in the PATP program. He is a native of the Northwest having been raised in Southern Oregon. His favorite roles include Proteus in Two Gentlemen of Verona and Duke Orsino in Twelfth Night, both directed by Avital Shira in Portland, OR. He received the award of Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance of Duke Orsino at the annual Portland Outdoor Shakespeare Festival hosted by Post5. Also in Portland, he was a member of the Ensemble in the world premiere production of Anna Karenina at Portland Center Stage. In 2010-11, he was a member of the Apprentice Company at Actors Theatre of Louisville where he originated the role of Jefferson in The Famished and Trent/Eric in The End, part of the Humana Festival of New American Plays. He has done staged readings at Actors Theatre of Louisville, Portland Center Stage and Oregon Shakespeare Festival. He holds a BA from University of Portland where he trained extensively with Viacheslav Dolgachev, Artistic Director of the New Moscow Drama Theatre, and in New York with William Esper at the Esper Studio.
