UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON DREAM PROJECT

2009 "Live the Dream" Scholarship Recipients

The Dream Project is proud to announce eleven scholarships for local high school students who will be attending the University of Washington in the fall. These scholarships were presented at an event on May 20, 2009 in the Walker-Ames Room in Kane Hall at the UW campus.

The funds for the "Live the Dream" Scholarship were raised entirely by UW students in our class. Eleven students will each receive a $1,000 scholarship to attend the University of Washington. The winners were selected from a pool of 34 nominees by a selection committee comprised of faculty advisors, deans, community supporters, and students. They were chosen based on their leadership, community service, financial need, overcoming adversity, and commitment to the Dream Project.
