Washington State Food and Nutrition Council Conference

The Washington State Food and Nutrition Council's Annual Conference "Advocating for Well Nourished Communities: Progress Toward Policy Change" will be held on Friday, September 23, 2005 at Highline Community College, near SeaTac Airport.

Patricia Crawford, Dr. PH, RD, Co-director of the University of California Berkeley Center for Weight and Health, and Linda Stone, Eastern Washington Director of the Children's Alliance will be among conference speakers. Pat Crawford will identify differential contributions of race/ethnicity and food insecurity and socioeconomic status to the disparities of obesity. Linda Stone will identify key public policy tools to address hunger and identify where additional effort is needed.



Seven (7) CE credits have been approved for Registered Dietitians and Dietetic Technicians. Register early, space is limited.
