Author to speak on book describing cancer genetics research

Wall Street Journal science writer Michael Waldholz will be on campus Wednesday, Jan. 28, to speak about his new book, Curing Cancer, which features the work of Dr. Mary-Claire King and other UW and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center scientists. King's research on the genetics of breast cancer forms the first section of the book.

The presentation, which will include comments by King on her involvement with the book, will be at4 p.m. in Hogness Auditorium at the Health Sciences Center. The event, sponsored by University Bookstore, is free and open to the public. ¶
