Faculty Appointments

Faculty newly appointed to academic positions by the Board of Regents Jan. 16:

College of Arts and Sciences

Julie Nelson Davis, to be Lecturer in Art on a nine-month basis, effective Dec. 16.

School of Medicine

Mary Frances Lampe, to be Associate Professor (without tenure) of Laboratory Medicine and of Medicine and Adjunct Associate Professor of Microbiology on a 12-month basis, effective Jan. 1. (Prior to this appointment, Dr. Lampe was a Research Associate Professor of Medicine and Adjunct Research Associate Professor of Microbiology at the University of Washington).

Faculty newly appointed to administrative positions by the Board of Regents Jan. 16:

School of Medicine

Richard Charles Veith, to be Acting Chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, effective Jan. 1 on a 12-month basis. (Temporary replacement for Dr. Gary J. Tucker, who is on leave) (Dr. Veith will continue as Professor (without tenure) of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences).

College of Architecture and Urban Planning

Sharon Egretta Sutton, to be Professor of Architecture on a nine-month basis, effective Jan. 1. (Dr. Sutton is currently Professor of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor).

School of Nursing

Mary Lou Siantz, to be Professor of Family and Child Nursing on a nine-month basis, effective Jan. 1, 1998 (Dr. Siantz is currently Associate Professor of Environments for Health at Indiana University).

School of Pharmacy

A. Patricia Campbell, to be Assistant Professor of Medicinal Chemistry on a 12-month basis, effective Jan. 1.

School of Public Health and Community Medicine

Lee-Jane Sally Liu, to be Assistant Professor (without tenure) of Environmental Health on a 12-month basis, effective Jan. 1 (Dr. Liu is currently Assistant Professor of Environmental Health Sciences at the University of South Carolina). ¶
