Association for Women in Science

The February meeting of the Seattle Area Chapter of the Association for Women in Science (AWIS) will be from 7:30­9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, at NOAA Northwest Fisheries Science Auditorium, 2725 Montlake East (entrance on East Hamlin Street). Nalini M. Nadkarni, Evergreen State College, will speak on Life in the Treetops: Forest Canopy Studies in Tropical and Temperate Rainforests. All AWIS meetings are free and open to the public. Toastmasters Harborview

    Training and Development

    Finding Funding on the Internet

    The workshop, "Finding Funding on the Internet" will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, in Collaboratory 2, Odegaard Library (ground floor). The workshop will cover strategies for finding information on the Internet about federal, foundation, and corporate funding opportunities. Participants must be affiliated with the University and have a University e-mail account. No sign-up is necessary; Internet experience is recommended.
