McCormick, above, presided at a recognition ceremony in the Rotunda honoring Mary Gates Scholars and others. Mrs. Joan Waldo, below, congratulated Warren A. Bishop, the first recipient of the Robert G. Don Carlson, chair of the House Higher Education Committee; and Chris Hedrick, executive policy advisor for science and technology in the Office of the Governor.
