New knowledge about caries and periodontal disease and its impact on dental practice will be examined during the Third Washington Dental Service Foundation Distinguished Professorship Symposium, May 21- 22, at the Four Seasons Olympic Hotel in downtown Seattle. The event will feature internationally distinguished speakers. The first day of the conference will focus on caries infectious nature, risk assessment and management, diagnosis, prevention and treatment. The second day will focus on periodontitis, including new approaches to diagnosis and treatment and the relationship between oral and systemic health. The closing session will cover impediments to change in clinical dentistry and ways to resolve them. Since attendance for this event is limited, early registration is strongly recommended. Registration for the symposium is $325 prior to April 1. Contact the Office of Continuing Dental Education, 543-5448.
