Deadlines

Grant Proposals
April 17, 1998 is the deadline for receipt of proposals at Grant and Contract Services for proposals due on May 1, 1998 at the awarding agency.

Tuition Bills
Tuition bills were mailed March 27. If you have not received your tuition statement by April 10, please contact the Student Accounts & Cashiers Office, telephone 543-4695. April 17 is the due date for Spring Quarter 1998 tuition. Payments made after April 17 require a Late Payment Fee. Failure to pay by May 20 will result in registration cancellation. PSO awards
The Professional Staff Organization is accepting applications for summer quarter scholarship awards. All UW professional staff members are eligible for the scholarships, which are awarded on a quarterly basis. The deadline for summer quarter is May 6. Family Education Rights & Privacy Act
Instructors are reminded that the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 requires that the University treat student records in a confidential manner. Student records include examinations and papers submitted by students. Faculty who plan on distributing grades, papers, and exams through departmental mailboxes or in hallways or plan to post grades on a WEB site must first have the permission of their students or be prepared to distribute such papers in ways that safeguard the students' personal information.
