Personal Holiday: Each classified, contract or professional staff employee who has been continously employed by the institution/related board for more than four months shall be entitled to select one personal holiday per calendar year in accordance with WAC 251-22-040(10) and WAC 251-22-045.
*Washington State legislation provides that: 1) if a holiday falls on a Saturday, it is to be observed the preceding Friday, and 2) if a holiday falls on a Sunday, it is to be observed the following Monday.
**Applies to all classified and contract employees of University of Washington Medical Center and Harborview Medical Center who are assigned to work patterns that normally include holidays as part of the institution's requirement for 24 hour a day and seven day a week staffing. ¶
