Free mammograms, demonstrations of new breast imaging equipment, information on breast self exams and educational materials on breast cancer prevention and genetics risk assessment will be available Saturday, May 9, and Tuesday, May 12, during a Mother's Day Open House at UW Medical Center-Roosevelt. The open house will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, and 8 a.m. to 7:20 p.m., Tuesday. Appointments for free mammograms must be scheduled before the event by calling 598-3466.

Mothers and daughters who have been affected by breast cancer are invited to attend a Husky softball game Sunday, May 10, at the UW Husky Softball Stadium. The event is sponsored by Team Survivor Northwest and the UW Medical Center Breast Care Program.
