Expecting Multiples classes are offered by UW Medical Center from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursdays, May 28 and June 25. The series covers pregnancy, delivery and parenting for couples expecting multiple births. Classes are led by a registered nurse, with a guest physician and parents of multiples present to share their knowledge and experience. Cost is $15 per class per family. For information and registration, call the Perinatal Education Department at 548-4070. Healthy seniors who would like to take part in a free exercise program are being recruited for a UW study examining the benefits of exercise and growth hormone. Participants must be between 60 and 85 years of age and not involved in a formal exercise program. The study will include a year of strength training or six months of endurance training during a supervised exercise program that meets three times each week. A free physical, cholesterol screening and exercise treadmill test will also be included. For more information, call 685-9307.
