Study Subjects Wanted
The UW Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC) is currently enrolling volunteers in several studies. Volunteers are vital to the center’s ongoing effort to better understand Alzheimer’s disease. To this end, the UW ADRC is looking for people with Alzheimer’s disease as well as healthy older individuals without Alzheimer’s disease to participate in research. Research volunteers receive free physical and neurological examinations by experts in the field of geriatrics; supportive counseling and problem solving for caregivers; opportunities to receive medications not yet available; updates on the latest research, even after a study is completed; and referrals to many other helpful resources. If you or someone you know is interested in participating in a study or learning more about specific studies, call Beth at 764-2069.
