How can you keep active and fit as the seasons change? At the next Healthy-U talk at 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 19, in the downtown Seattle REI store, Dr. Kim Harmon of Hall Health Primary Care Center will discuss ways to transition from summer to winter sports and options for cross-training. A general, full-body stretching program will be demonstrated. Many of the Healthy-U talks, sponsored by UW Physicians, are taped for later broadcast on UWTV, channel 27 in most areas. Beginning this week, the presentation on Current Management of Gliomas, taped Sept. 23, will be broadcast three times a week until Nov. 8. Times are Mondays at 7 p.m., Tuesdays at 6 a.m. and Sundays at 5 p.m. The program features Dr. Daniel Silbergeld, Dr. Keith Stelzer and Dr. Alex Spence, all UW School of Medicine faculty members, discussing what is known about gliomas and how to treat them.
