Seniors needed for study

A UW study in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is seeking volunteers between the ages of 60 and 85 for a study of GEREF, an experimental drug which increases the body’s natural secretion of growth hormone. Participants will spend two 72-hour stays at UW Medical Center at no cost. Their sleep, growth hormone patterns, memory, body composition and ability to perform activities of daily living will be studied. Participants will also self-inject GEREF or a placebo daily for five months. Subjects will be compensated. For more information, call 543-2845. ¶
