Variety Club recognizes nurses

The nursing staff at UW Medical Center’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is the first group to receive the Masters Caregivers Award from Variety Club of the Pacific Northwest. The award recognizes the nurses for “providing outstanding care to hundreds of infants whose lives are entrusted to them each year.”

Chip Wilson, president of the Variety Club Board of Directors, will present a check for $5,000 and a plaque at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 13, at the NICU. The award is named for Harry and Corinne Masters, whose bequest funded revitalization of the Variety Club Northwest chapter. ¶
