Variety Club recognizes nurses The nursing staff at UW Medical Centers Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is the first group to receive the Masters Caregivers Award from Variety Club of the Pacific Northwest. The award recognizes the nurses for providing outstanding care to hundreds of infants whose lives are entrusted to them each year. Chip Wilson, president of the Variety Club Board of Directors, will present a check for $5,000 and a plaque at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 13, at the NICU.
