The clinics location at 923 Auburn Way North near the Fred Meyer store provides easy, convenient access for area residents. The clinic accepts most insurance plans and patients need no prior relationship with the UW to receive their health care at the new clinic. The clinic offers a full range of services, including obstetrics. The clinic will be open Monday, Thursday and Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Wednesday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 12 noon. Auburn Clinic Chief Andrew Coren says he and his staff are looking forward to serving the diverse population of Auburn. Family practice embraces the concept of caring for patients of all ages and from all walks of life, says Coren, who speaks Spanish and has over 22 years experience as a family practice physician. He received his medical training at Northwestern University in Chicago and is certified by the American Board of Family Practice. He lives in Auburn with his wife and son. Joining Coren are Drs. Tamara Hazbun and Thomas Hei. Hazbun is a graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine. She recently moved to the Pacific Northwest with her husband and daughter. Hei completed medical school at the University of California, Los Angeles. He has a particular interest in helping those with limited access to health care and has traveled extensively to provide assistance in countries where medical help is not readily available. Hei speaks Mandarin and when he is not working, enjoys traveling with his wife. Auburn is the ninth UW Physicians Network clinic to open and is the most southern of the UWPN clinics that serve greater Puget Sound. The UW Physicians clinics are a joint project of the UW Medical Center, Haborview Medical Center, UW Physicians and the UW School of Medicine. The network was developed to provide easy access to the primary care services of UW Physicians for all King County residents. Other UW Physicians clinics are Belltown, Factoria, Issaquah, Shoreline, West Seattle (Westwood) and Woodinville. For more information or an appointment with the clinic, call 1-888-4UWDOCS.
