Dr. George Kraft, professor of rehabilitation medicine, has received the 1998 Distinguished Clinician Award from the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation for his outstanding skills in teaching and patient care. An expert in the fields of electrodiagnostic medicine and multiple sclerosis, Kraft is president of the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine and directs the Multiple Sclerosis Clinical Center at UW Medical Center. The award was presented to Kraft at the organizations annual meeting in Seattle last month. Dr. Norman Breslow, professor of biostatistics in the School of Public Health and Community Medicine and member at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, was named 1997-98 Outstanding Statistician of the Year by the Chicago Chapter of the American Statistical Association. The recipient is chosen on the recommendation of past honorees.
