Holly Evans, a secretary for Odegaard Undergraduate Library, waits for her bus at Meany Hall surrounded by a photomural installation that includes photos of UW students’ personal objects. San Francisco Bay area artists Jon Rubin and Harrell Fletcher roamed the campus asking students to share personal objects brought from home. They then assembled a collection of photographs of the objects. The images were chosen for their strength and the poetry of their accompanying stories. Rubin and Fletcher have a similar installation at the bus shelter in front of the School of Art.

A new wall and plantings have been added to the south edge of Sylvan Grove along Stevens Way as the first step toward safer pedestrian passage. A sidewalk will be added next summer when the street is repaved.
