Rain: It’s a good news, bad news story for construction. First, the good news. It pretty much prevents the dust problem that could have arisen with the construction of the exterior walls of Mary Gates Hall’s new addition. But, there’s bad news, too. It does delay installing the roof. While waiting for bluer skies the contractor is using temporary roofs and traps to keep the rain out. Installation of the mechanical and electrical systems throughout the building are continuing as is interior wall construction and door frame installation. The building is scheduled to open in about a year.

Dental student Eric Weller and a patient demonstrated the right technique.
