Faculty newly appointed to academic positions by the Board of Regents Feb. 19:

School of Medicine

William Edward Brant, to be Professor (without tenure) of Radiology on a 12-month basis, effective Feb. 15. (Prior to this appointment, Brant was a Professor of Radiology at the University of California, Davis.)

Michael Thomas Caps, to be Assistant Professor (without tenure) of Surgery on a 12-month basis, effective Feb. 1. (Prior to this appointment, Caps was an Acting Assistant Professor—temporary in the same department.)

Andra Elizabeth Ibrahim, to be Assistant Professor (without tenure) of Anesthesiology on a 12-month basis, effective Feb. 1. (Prior to this appointment, Ibrahim was an Acting Assistant Professor—temporary in the same department.)

Vishesh Kapur, to be Assistant Professor (without tenure) of Medicine on a 12-month basis, effective Feb.1. (Prior to this appointment, Kapur was an Acting Assistant Professor—temporary in the same department.)

Karla Neugebauer, to be Assistant Professor of Neurology and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Biochemistry on a 12-month basis, effective Feb. 1. (Prior to this appointment, Neugebauer was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.)

Anne Shumway-Cook, to be Associate Professor (without tenure) of Rehabilitation Medicine on a 12-month basis, effective Feb. 1. (Prior to this appointment, Shumway-Cook was a Clinical Assistant Professor in the same department.)

Catherine Odette Stehman-Breen, to be Assistant Professor (without tenure) of Medicine on a 12-month basis, effective Feb. 1. (Prior to this appointment, Stehman-Breen was an Acting Assistant Professor—temporary in the same department.)

Faculty newly appointed to administrative positions by the Board of Regents Feb. 19:

School Of Pharmacy

Stanley Steven Weber, to be Associate Dean for Professional Education in the School of Pharmacy, effective Jan. 1 on a 12-month basis. (Replacement for Wayne Kradjan, who has accepted a position as Dean of the School of Pharmacy at Oregon State University.) Dr. Weber will continue as Associate Professor (without tenure) of Pharmacy.

School Of Public Health And Community Medicine

Patricia Walker Wahl, to be Dean of the School of Public Health and Community Medicine, effective Feb. 19. (Dr. Wahl has served as Acting Dean since September 1997, and will continue as Professor of Biostatistics.) ¶
