School of Library and Information Science students get a look at their new computer labthe most state-of-the-art lab on campus. Apollo 13, playing on the big screen, monitor and digital camera, is often used to talk about information problems. The classroom includes 24 Pentium III-based computers, an instructor station, an overhead projection system, and video broadcasting capability that allows the instructor screen to be placed on each student monitor. Some other features: an audio system, assorted multi-media capabilities. On eight machines, students taking courses in system administration can setup their own file, print and Web servers. The lab will be relocated with the school to Mary Gates Hall.
