Domestic violence is topic of seminar
Sara Maxwell, a social worker and Employee Advisory Service staff member, will discuss the impact of domestic violence in the workplace in a seminar sponsored by UW Work/Family Services. Maxwell will speak from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 4 in 200C HUB. Topics will include how to talk with a co-worker you are concerned about, what to do when a co-worker is at risk, how to deal with a perpetrator who works in your department, and how to recognize danger signs of domestic violence in the workplace. She also will discuss elements of a personal safety plan. Registration is not required for the free, brown-bag seminar. ¶
