Get a new set of wheels at Bike Swap Have a neglected bike? Or, do you need a bike? Then attend the first Bike Swap Meet Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the HUB Lawn. The Bike Swap Meet is an opportunity for employees and students to sell their used bikes to each other, or to sell them to one of the local used bike shops in attendance. All transactions are conducted solely between buyers and sellers, and sellers are responsible for promoting their used bikes and being present with them at the meet. Buyers are encouraged to examine the bikes to their satisfaction before buying, and to register bikes with the UW Police Department. The UW is not responsible for the condition of bikes bought or sold at the Bike Swap Meet. Take advantage of warmer spring weather and reap the benefits of biking. For more information, contact the Transportation Office at 206-543-0450 or upass@u.washington.edu. ¶ University Week The faculty and staff publication of the University of Washington uweek@u.washington.edu May 20, 1999
