Report of Lobbying Activities

This is a reminder that the University’s report to the Public Disclosure Commission on lobbying activity for the second quarter of 1999 (April 1-June 30) is rapidly coming due.

If a legislator has attended an event sponsored by your unit, or if you or anyone in your program has had communication with members or staff of the State Legislature regarding specific legislative or agency action on behalf of the university or any of its programs, please respond to the Office of Government Relations no later than Friday, July 9. Reporting is required for all lobbying activities. Additionally, all time spent lobbying must be detailed in your report even if the time spent lobbying is less than a day.

The Public Disclosure Commission has provided some guidelines to help you determine what is reportable and what is not. If you would like a list of these guidelines, or if you do not have a copy of the form you will need to fill out to report your activities, please contact Cinnamon Mather at Box 351210. If no one in your department or program has lobbied during the past quarter, be sure to indicate this on the form. Please return the form either way. Furthermore, please be sure to include the name and box number of the addressee on the reporting form.
