VW

Classic cars at Summerfest—One of the features at this year’s Summerfest, the UW Medical Center’s employee festival held last week, was a display of classic cars restored and maintained by faculty and staff. Above, Mauricio Bendana of UWMC’s financial planning office poses with his 1961 rack-top VW, outfitted for a road trip. The festival’s theme this year was “old-fashioned country barbecue,” with food choices including ribs and burgers. There was also a country band. Photo by Gavin Sisk.
