Leaving the UW? Parking permits and U-PASSes are the property of the University of Washington and are not transferable. When you leave the university or no longer need a parking permit, return your unexpired permit/U-PASS to Parking Services for a refund. If you retain an unexpired U-PASS/permit, you are financially responsible for it even if you do not use it. Faculty or staff who are temporarily leaving the UW campus may find it financially beneficial to stop and restart a parking permit or a U-PASS. Check the timing of your stop and restart dates so they coincide with the Parking Services billing cutoff dates (the fifteenth and the last workday of the month). Otherwise you will be charged until the next cutoff date. For more need information call Parking Services at 685-1543 or send e-mail to parking@u.washington.edu. ¶ University Week The faculty and staff publication of the University of Washington uweek@u.washington.edu August 5,1999
