Sleep Disorders Center at HMC

A Sleep Disorders Center has opened at Harborview Medical Center to allow for patient testing and sleep studies at that site. The two-bed unit in the west hospital wing has state-of-the-art digital video polysomnographic equipment.

Initially, sleep studies will be performed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Candidates for studies include patients with sleep apnea, movement disorders, marcolepsy, insomnia and daytime sleepiness. For referrals, call the Sleep Disorders Center at 731-2381.

Dr. Vishesh Kapur, assistant professor of medicine, is medical director of the center and Dr. John Miller, professor of neurology and director of the UW Regional Epilepsy Center, is associate medical director. ¶
