MASTER PLAN: Letter from President McCormick Dear Members of the Campus Community, Friends and Neighbors: The university community is now moving into the next phase of the planning process for the Campus Master Plan: 2002-2012. Please come to a public meeting and workshop on Nov. 16, and help us develop the planning concepts and alternatives for the new master plan. Earlier this year, many of you attended campus and community meetings and shared your ideas for the future of the Seattle campus. We listened to what you had to say and developed the goals and vision for the campus master plan. On Nov. 16, the master plan project team will share with you the development concepts and alternatives that incorporate your ideas about open space, safety, improved connections to and throughout the campus, and to the community. We welcome your input on these campus planning concepts and alternatives. Community involvement in our master planning process is essential to its success. There will be two meetings on Nov. 16: 12:30-3 p.m., HUB 200 (UW Campus) 6-8:30 p.m., University Heights Community Center I hope you will be able to attend one of the meetings and continue to share your ideas with our campus master planning team. Sincerely yours,
Richard L. McCormick
