A year of planning and several dusty months of construction have produced a new third-floor area with instructional space and easy access to computers. Three classrooms with a total of 75 computers are now available for curriculum support with a collaboratory arrangement. The redesigned area more efficiently integrates 70 additional student computers, multimedia collection, reserve materials, an e-mail express bar, study space and a service desk. The renovation project was made possible by a collaborative effort of UW Libraries and Health Sciences Administration, with special support from the School of Nursing and the Capitol Projects Office. ¶ University Week The faculty and staff publication of the University of Washington uweek@u.washington.edu November 12, 1999
