Acclaimed duo set for UW concert Cellist Hamilton Cheifetz and pianist Rachelle McCabe will be the featured guest artists in recital on Thursday, Feb. 3, at 8 p.m. in Brechemin Auditorium. Tickets are $6 general admission and $4 for students and seniors. The duo will play Couperins Pieces en Concert; Beethovens Sonata in A Major, Op. 69; Debussys Sonata in D Minor; and Shostakovichs Sonata in D Minor. Hamilton Cheifetz has received international recognition as a performer and recording artist in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia. The Chicago native began playing cello at age 7 and first performed as a soloist with an orchestra four years later. McCabe, who earned a bachelors degree from the University of Washington, is internationally known as an artist and teacher. She has appeared as a soloist with orchestras across the country.
