Deadlines

ADAI Grants

The Alcohol and Drug Abuse Institute invites applications from University faculty for Small Grants Research Awards for projects related to alcohol or drug use and abuse. The maximum amount of funding is $20,000. The next application deadline is March. Questions concerning the application process or suitability of a potential project should be directed to the Institute at 543-0937. Application guidelines are available on the ADAI web site at http://depts.washington.edu/adai or by calling ADAI.

Study subjects wanted

The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center is looking for volunteers to participate in a study investigating the effects of magnetic fields on the production of female reproductive hormones and melatonin. Participants must be 20-40 years old, resident of King/So. Snohomish Co., regular menstrual periods, not be taking hormonal contraceptives, no history of breast cancer, not have been pregnant or nursing within the last year and not be taking melatonin supplements. Participants receive $100 upon completion of study. Please call
