The award recognizes productivity and quality service. Motor Pool Manager David Carr will accept the award at a fleet management institute in mid-April. ROUSING GOODBYE: A recent daylong colloquium honored the retirement of the UWs Daviel Lev, a longtime political science professor and an expert on comparative politics, legal systems and human rights of Southeast Asia. The March 13 event featured panels on the relationship of critical scholarship and political change, human rights in Indonesia, and on problems of the reform of legal institutions in post-Soeharto Indonesia. Additionally, three UW students presented papers at a panel they organized at the annual Association for Asian Studies Conference. Loren Ryter, Robin Bush and Beth Drexler presented the papers and organized the panel that honored Levs retirement. ¶ University Week The faculty and staff publication of the University of Washington uweek@u.washington.edu March 30, 2000
