Summary of Executive Committee Actions and upcoming issues and actions: The committee heard reports from the President, Faculty Legislative Representative, and the Senate Committee on Planning and Budgeting. The committee approved the 2000-2001 schedule of SEC and Faculty Senate meetings, and recommended giving an honorary degree to U.S. Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky (the 2000 Commencement Speaker).
