Two undergraduates from the UWs College of Forest Resources saw logs during Garb Day festivities. The department brought the annual event back to campus this spring for the first time in 30 years. The event, which pits students against one another in logger sports and explains the range of career possibilities in forestry, had been held at the UWs Pack Forest in Eatonville.

 Donald Pious Pediatric Research Laboratory - On Wednesday, May 17, in conjunction with a national immunology conference and a symposium at the UW, the Pious Laboratory on the fifth floor of the RR wing was dedicated. The late Dr. Pious was a professor of pediatrics and immunology and had been a School of Medicine faculty member for 38 years.
